In the warmer months I like to relax outdoors in the morning in my robe and just soak in the fresh air. It's good ideal to just meditate in the morning instead of jumping into a project. I take a tray out with my tea and toast, prop my feet up and take my time. No phone, no TV. Just the sounds and smell of nature. This month I decided to create my own tea beverage and share my recipe. I like fruity tea and berry flavors. I selected 3 flavors and came up with an Mandarin Orange Cranapple Tea Beverage and it was more wonderful than I had hoped.

If you're one of those people that bore easy of the same things, then create your own beverage. Just go with your favorite flavors and start blending. Once you're done, write the recipe down and name it after yourself. Invite people to try the beverage you named after yourself. Wha la ...Signature Beverage.
In the Kitchen
I recommend 3 flavors for a good blended beverage. Try juices, creamers, instant beverage mixes and premium tea bags. Start with one part of two flavors, taste, then add as little or as much of the third flavor as desired. A good blend won't have an overwhelming taste of just one flavor. These beverages can be served hot or cold. Try it both ways and freeze some for flavored ice cubes. This is a lounge outfit recipe. So relax.
India Arie - Beautiful. By now you know I'm a lyric lover. Soft guitar melody. Ease right into a relaxed state. Good background music. Now where's my tea?
Spend a few dollars and have fun creating your own beverage service sets. It's a good reason to invite guest for a casual get together. Make up mixes and store in pretty labled containers. Start a collection of your signature blends and give them as gifts. Keep some gourmet cookies in the pantry or serve with a slice of homemade strudel. (next recipe)

Who ordered this snow? It may continue to snow but I'm warm indoors and working on some spring chores. I woke up craving comfort food, but something other than soup. Perfect day to make a pot of Creamy Chicken and Dumplings.
Creamy Chicken and Dumplings
I'm ready for Spring but where is it? This is more like December weather which requires some comfort food. My pot was filled with chunky veggies, braised boneless, skinless chicken thighs, spices and biscuit dumplings. The fragrance filled my place and I ready to kick back on my day off and enjoy a couple bowls. Curled up in front of the TV with the remote, a blanket, a tray with warm butter biscuits and some Creamy Chicken and Dumplings.
In the Kitchen
I used up some veggies from the fridge, so they would not go bad. This recipe is chunky and hearty. My hair was wrapped in a scarf and it's a sweats, tee, no makeup Friday. This ended up being a good budget recipe because chicken is a less expensive now, since everyone is buying ham and lamb for the holiday. The forecast calls for more snow and 30 below days so I'm freezing some batches for the rainy season and a few small containers to pack for lunch. Convienent and satisfying.
I like to clang and scrap the bowl.
Don't judge me.
T.I. - Hello - I saw T.I. perform this song on the Jimmy Kimmel show (it's on YouTube) and it was hot! Now I'm trying to learn the lyrics. Playing it on the tablet in the kitchen while I'm cutting veggies. I have the main chorus down... Hello...lol.
Diva's, this recipe should get you through the weekend. Share a container with some folks on a cold or wet day. We'll be preparing for Easter weekend so I'll return with some other easy and budget friendly recipes in a few days. Until then, Look Good, Cook Good and Entertain in Style.
Luscious Lime Mousse
In the Kitchen
My Luscious Lime Mousse is surprisingly light and creamy and refreshing, with the right balance of sweet lime and vanilla flavors. This recipe is simple, satisfying and pairs well with seafood. You won't break the bank with this recipe since it only has 2 ingredients!
Jello and Ice Cream. One bowl, a whisk and will power.
Green eyeliner is as far as I'm taking the whole color blast for the diva part of this recipe. Guess who did a lot of taste testing before the photo shoot?
KC and The Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight
I'm ready for tank tops, flip flops, fresh air and sunshine. Time for a new pair of shades and throw back on volume 10. Head bobbing.
