The Personal Chef that works while you sleep
This Friday, instead of breaking a ten for one takeout meal at my local Chinese drive thru, I’ll be having Pepper Steak that my Personal Chef simmered while I slept. Tender chunks of beef tenderloin, onions, bell peppers in a beef rue served over Perfect Rice and I slept through the entire process. Frugal, stress free and delicious. Ting!
Crock Pot Pepper Steak and Rice
I get my beauty sleep and lunch/dinner cooks itself for the next day. Now you know how I have time to do this blog, work my fulltime job, clean and look good.
In the Kitchen
I named my crockpot, my Personal Chef because it actually does cooking. I added the ingredients listed below, set the crock pot to 8 hours, and got ready for bed. In the morning, I made Perfect Rice in the microwave. Yes... I'll include that recipe for the rice too. Tsk! Can I tell you the scent did wake me up but I just rolled over in a stress free way.
When I came in from work, I kicked off my shoes and headed to the kitchen. I selected some music on my tablet and did a thick cut on my veggies. Put my main ingredients in the crockpot and set it for 8 hours. Did a facial while the bath water was running and starting whining down. I think I’m so special when I successfully multitask. Used just 2 cookware items, so the kitchen stays clean.
1 casserole dish and 1 crockpot. Bamm!
Jeffery Osborne – Don’t Get So Mad – Ok …come on. You know this is a good one for this blog and yes…I do have Jeffery in my collection. The temp is good for working. It’s fun, clean and classic. I hear you singing the chorus.
Well, I've saved you from doing take out. The Personal Chef made dinner and you can relax and breeze through some more of my recipes. Work it out.
