Chicken Stir Fry
Put your hand up if you prefer to spend more time on career aspirations, reading or self indulgent research. There are 99 reasons why busy people can't spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but you both deserve a balanced, home cooked meal. As usual, I've made your task quick and easy.
In the Kitchen
When does takeout food become a bargain? When you get a hot and fresh Marketside Family Size Rotisserie Chicken from your local Wal-Mart. Take the challenge to stretch and save with your hunny.
Yes, I said fresh! Wal-Mart labels the container with the time the chicken was cooked. My bird was cooked at 5:30 p.m., just in time for dinner. The food photographer, (me) started slicing around 6:15. Remember to check the label for prep time or ask the Deli Clerk.
James Brown - Get Up Offa That Thing - The title is suggestive. Since I'm still a little pumped when I get home from work, I use that extra energy to get the food prepared? Call me if you don't feel the need to head bob. I'll talk you through it.
See the grocery list above. Get all the items that I recommend and don't you dare deviate! Start off with the meal suggestions for day 1. Read each day so that you know how you're going to cut your bird. I've given you a variety of meal planning and recipes for 3 days but feel free to get creative. If you're cooking for one, you'll get even more savings. If you have any leftover soup be sure to freeze it in the proper container.
I've saved you time and money with this blog. If you would like to show me some love, like you always do, feel free to post your comments.
As always, Look Good, Cook Good and Entertain in Style
