I’m one of those people who will tell you that I don’t like a food, before I’ve even tried it. Scrunched facial expression included. At one point, Pumpkin anything was on the top of my hit list, until I got turned out by the perfect slice of Pumpkin Chiffon Pie. I did request yet another slice, just to be sure that I really liked it. The pie had a subtle sweetness that was heighten by the right spices. It was light. It was creamy and very savory.
I recreated all of those flavors and the right consistency with my Pumpkin Mousse recipe. My research has proven that you can achieve a good dish without 100, expensive ingredients. You get the intense Pumpkin flavor with the puree and pie spice. The puree is then combined with a rich, French Vanilla Instant Pudding. Finally, the mixture is turned into a mousse by gently folding in a container of whipped topping.
